Status e News Introduction

Survey And Win - Coming Next Week

This week Gary Hatwell, Executive Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, is away on a well earned break, and as advised last week there are no news articles in today’s edition.

But it’s not all lazing around in the office. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes preparing the major business survey that will be released in next week’s edition of Status e News. This is a critically important survey designed to tap into economic and employment trends, including the current and future recruitment practices of South Australian businesses when it comes to considering those who are often overlooked – those who are finding it difficult to get back in to the labour force because of unemployment, social disadvantage, mature age or disability.

Both the Premier, Mike Rann, and the Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, have recently introduced a number of important and far reaching policies in the area of Social Inclusion, and more are expected. Of course, paid employment is an integral part of being included in Australian society, for without a job, marginalisation and poverty often follow.

So here’s your opportunity to give your vital input and have your say in this major survey that is being supported by ‘in-business’, South Australia’s leading business publication. The results of the survey will be published in subsequent editions of Status e News, in South Australia’s leading business publication ’in-business’ and will be submitted to the Commonwealth Government later on in the year.

As an incentive, we are putting up a prize draw of a mixed one dozen bottles of fine South Australian Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon wines, valued at $475 for one lucky participant survey.

As usual, we have two new “Employee Hot Prospects” which can be accessed from the ‘hot chilli’ link at the right.

Thanks in advance for your participation in the survey, only one week to go!

Well, an unusual week for footy tipping. Bev Felmingham from Status’ Edwardstown site was the winner with 8 correct picks. That’s three times this season! But bad news for Bev, sometimes you can be too good. The footy tipping rules only allow a maximum of two weekly prizes during the 2008 AFL season, so commiserations Bev. There’s still big prizes at the end of the year though, so keep picking them.

Good news then for "Heather Hopeful Tips", the second best tipper of the week who now wins this round’s weekly prize. With 8 correct tips but a greater margin, lady luck smiles on Heather Bockman from Print’nStitch this week.

Remember, you can join the competition at anytime during the year and will be allocated all of the away teams from previous rounds as your starting position on the leaderboard. If you would like to join but are having difficulty registering, please contact our footy tipping administrator, Dora Zalunardo, on 8377 0101, and she will arrange for someone to step you through the process.
