Editorial Overload

As advised in the last issue, I’m taking a break from writing the Status enews editorial this week on account of Her Majesty’s Birthday celebrations. However, our publishing team has produced another excellent feature article and we also announce our footy tipping results and profile another of our EHP.

I’ll be back in 5 minutes!

Managing Employees with Mental Illness

Whether you know it or not, it is likely that at least one worker in your workplace will, at some point in time, have a long or short-term mental illness. With statistics showing that one in five Australians experience mental health problems each year and nearly half of all managers believing that none of their workers will experience a mental health problem at work; this is obviously an area that needs to be highlighted and support provided.

Status Footy Tipping Competition

Sophie and Kerri
Sophie Hayat, right,
with Status’ Operations Manager:
Training Services - Kerri Franz
What an exciting way to end Round 12 with the AFL having its first draw of the season in Melbourne v Collingwood. More exciting for Sophie "Sophey" Hayat who again won this week’s round with 7 correct tips, and adjusted margin of 1. Congratulations Sophie, back to back wins, that’s pretty impressive!

To everyone else, better luck next round and don’t forget to check out the leader board. There are currently more than 70 active tippers in our competition and after logging into the AFL website, you can view your position on the ladder by selecting the Status Employment Services competition.

You can join the competition at anytime during the year and will be allocated all of the away teams from previous rounds as your starting position on the leader board. If you would like to join but are having difficulty registering, please contact our footy tipping administrator, Dora Zalunardo, on 8377 0101, and she will arrange for someone to step you through the process.
