Our financial commitment to Kids Future Kids for the twelve month period to December 2006, exceeds $100,000 and in recognition of our support, Status Employment Services is acknowledged and promoted as the Corporate Patron of Kids Future Kids.

Kids Future Kids is a charitable organisation providing subsidised camps and day activities for disadvantaged children. Volunteer leaders work with children who: are living in poverty; have been abused; are living in foster care or; simply find it difficult to make friends.

The goals of Kids Future Kids are to:

• provide fun, healthy and safe recreational experiences for disadvantaged kids
• build self esteem, leadership skills and team work for kids and leaders
• provide opportunities for kids to choose positive role models
• add value to future generations by providing opportunities for kids today

Kids Future Kids, which has operated from the St Clair Recreation Centre at Woodville for over 25 years, is managed by volunteers and has survived very difficult times in recent years, facing the prospect of closing its operations, due to a lack of funds, on several occasions. Kids Future Kids does not receive government funding or support through corporate sponsorship.

Our involvement with Kids Future Kids was initiated through the "Prime Minister's Community Business Partnership" program. We were attracted to Kids Future Kids because of the synergies that existed between our Organisations and in particular, the notion that through mutual cooperation we could work towards the prevention of intergenerational unemployment by affecting positive change and by providing hope and opportunity for the future - the primary aim of YouthNet SA.

Following initial contact, the respective Boards worked closely together to determine a suitable package of assistance that would provide some immediate support in terms of day-to-day operations and long term financial security through business development activities. Our initial offer of 12 months support included:

• meeting all of the costs associated with the running of Kids Future Kids camps
• rent free accommodation and relocation of Kids Future Kids operations to our Welland premises
• covering the payroll expenses following the recruitment of a "Promotions / Business Development Manager"
• strategic management assistance, development and advice including management of the accounting function, Web Page design and data base development
• access to ancillary resources and support services - reception and administration services, open access to phone, fax and other office equipment and computer systems
