In 2015, Status became the patron and sponsor of the South Australian affiliate to Dress for Success Worldwide. Dress for Success is a global movement for change empowering women to obtain safer and better futures.
Providing personal presentation advice, corporate attire, interview preparation and a professional women’s group for ongoing mentoring and support in the workplace, we have been inspired by the work of Dress for Success in making our community stronger.
The Dress for Success Empower 500 program seeks to assist 500 women during the year, and has already serviced hundreds of women, 45% of whom have achieved stable employment, breaking the cycle of poverty, one woman at a time.

South Australia has one of the highest rates of unemployment in the country and women experience much greater disadvantage in the labour market in Adelaide than men, including a 110% increase over the past three years in unemployed women who are job seeking.
