Transition to Work

At Status we believe paid employment is key to leading a satisfying and rewarding life and our Workforce Australia Transition to Work service for 15 to 24 year olds will help you get your foot on the ladder, through training or employment, to kick start your career. We will walk alongside, empowering you on your journey towards successful earning and learning!

Our conveniently located offices offer free access to WiFi, computers, printers and other facilities

You will be supported by your Link Worker, Industry Specialist Consultants, Youth Peer Mentors, and qualified Counsellors and Trainers

Explore your options through career guidance and counselling, make a job plan and get your personalised resume tailored to your needs

Support Groups

Link with others to share the journey to employment in our Empower Program, or sign up for Work Links to learn and practice job search and interview skills

Employer Meetings

Get connected with local employers through our Workforce Connect division as well as at regular Networking Events

Education and Training

Get the qualifications and licences needed to start work in demand industries through our highly successful Upskill Reskill RTO

Community Connections

We can connect you with local Community Organisations that can help you overcome day to day challenges

Employment Connections

Be connected to current job vacancies, traineeships and apprenticeships in demand industries through our Workforce Connect team and live jobs board

We Empower

Your Voice

Youth Peer Mentors will listen and give power to your voice, or you can join a Youth Advisory Group to help design your own pathway to success

Your Decisions

Not on the right path? Something changed? You will meet with your support team regularly to get back on track with the right tools to get you there

Your Employment

Once you’re in work or training we will continue to support you with regular check ins for up to 6 months to keep you on the path to success!

Am I eligible for Status’ Transition to Work services?

To participate in Transition to Work you must be:

Aged between 15 and 24 years, and
an Australian Citizen, or
be in Australia on a permanent visa, or
New Zealand Special Category Visa, or
Nominated Visa (including Temporary Protection Visa or Safe Haven Visa)

Eligibility will also depend on if you:

Have completed Year 12 or a Certificate III
Have been employed within the last six months
Are receiving an income support payment such as Youth Allowance
Are participating in another employment service including jobactive.
